Day 1 -

We left San Diego about 9:15 after the wheel dipping ceremony in the Pacific, AKA Bubbatizing. After about 10 miles of urban cycling all on bike lanes or trails, we made it out of San Diego and into the countryside.  Bike Lanes 90% of the time.  Like Edgar said, we had a long climb and it did get hot.  My Garmin showed 90+ degrees. Nice group of folks from all over.  ~frances
