Day 2 and 3

Sunday was a hard 31 miles. Most of it climbing, 5-6% with a Max of 10%. I had a flat around mile 19.  A cyclist from San Diego happened by and changed my tire.  He was a bike mechanic AND a professional mountain cyclist.  Nice guy with lots of tattoos.

Monday's ride (62.5 miles) lost all the elevation we climbed yesterday and Saturday. We had a nice 10 mile descent on I-8. Yep, an Interstate.  The shoulder was wide and clean.  The scenery was outstanding.

Tonight we are staying at a Seventh Day Adventist Mission School in Calexico, CA. Most of the students cross the border from Mexico daily.  Dinner was cooked and served by the students.

Gym sleeping tonight with 43 of my best buddies.  And clean laundry tomorrow!
