Tucson

Today we ride 40 miles across Tucson.  Tucson is a bike friendly town with lots of bike trails.

I'm lucky in a sense.  My routine maintenance from yesterday has turned out to require parts and expertise that neither I nor our tour mechanic have.  The Trek shop is just a half a mile from this Starbucks, and I hope they can help me out.

Hoping for good Karma.  And I was rewarded for my hope.  The Trek shop on Oracle Drive pulled the part that I needed from one of there showroom bikes.  After 25 minutes and $45, I was as good as new.  We rode a very nice bike trail through the center of Tucson.  We ended up on the southwest side if the city, near I-10.

I had a great brisket sandwich for lunch as I came upon Frances who had been waiting for me after finishing her lunch.  We finished with a stiff headwind for the last ten miles, but are now enjoying the shade and the breeze.
