Today we continue on beautiful NM 9 and around mile 70 cross over into Texas. We will be there for 19 days.
Today as I ride, I'll be basking in the glow of the exciting win by the Wolfpack over number 1 seed Villanova in yesterday's NCAA tournament. This was State's biggest tournament win since 1983.
I've replaced the rear tire on my bike as the previous one was showing signs of excessive wear. There is a bike shop in RL Paso that I'll try and visit to replenish a few items I nerd.
We had a strong tailwind almost all day and arrived into El Paso early. I visited Crazy Day bicycle shop near UTEP and stocked up on some needed items. I made dinner reservations at Mesa Street Grill tonight in celebration of my birthday tomorrow. We'll skip the group dinner and celebrate in private.
Tomorrow is a short day, only 57 miles. I'll add one more mile to make my birthday miles of 58.
