Back from picking up our bikes. Looks like everything is in good order. Will know more after a short shakedown ride.
My bike is a Pegoretti, Big Leg Emma. Named after the Frank Zappa song. It was built by Italian frame designer, Dario Pegoretti. He is an old school builder of the Italian approach to steel frames. He hand builds about 800 bikes a year. Almost everyone I ride with rides carbon fiber bikes, which are very nice, light, stiff and responsive. I chose to ride a hand made work of art.
I've had this bike about 10 years. Not sure what my next one will be. Dario is still building bikes, but once he stops, there will be no more of these. I may order another frame and hold it for future use. Depends on that job decision, whether or not I can do things like this in the future.
Yes! Zank Frappa! Moving to Montana soon... ;-)
