Detour, detour. Advertised as 62 miles wound up as 66 miles due to road construction.
We rode through Sam Houston National Forest. Trees! Flat! Dogwoods in bloom!
We stopped at 'The Hop' in Cold Springs (?) for burgers and awesome onion rings at about mIle 50. Then a hard 16 miles of mostly headwind to our overnight at Shepherd Sanctuary.
Shepherd Sanctuary is an eclectic camp/cabin resort with art work and ihard-to-describe open living spaces. Outdoor showers, chandeliers, playground equipment, and just fun stuff. Love it here! 
The owner's friends set up a hair salon and did haircuts and hair coloring. I got a nice haircut!!! Who would have thought?
This is the penultimate night in Texas. One more night then Louisiana..
