Goodbye to Louisiana

Due to weather, most of the memories I have of Louisiana are of food.  There was not a lit of time spent stopping to take pictures.  My second strongest memory is if flat tires.  Due to debris-filled shoulders Frances and I combined for 6-8 flat tires.

Today we enter Mississippi around mike 30.  It's a short day, 45 miles, and we are hopeful that we avoid rain during the ride.  Storms are forecast for later in the day.

The nice thing about rural towns is that they are sometimes behind the times. In this case, Poplarville, it means their Radio Shack is still open.  I've been looking for an SD flash card for a couple of weeks since I filled up the last one with GoPro video.  Now this means I can take more video over the next few, short days that we have remaining.

Bruce is shown replacing a broken spoke on his rear wheel.  Many of the riders on the ride have significant repair and maintenance skills. I consider basic repair skills a must, but some folks started the ride having never changed a flat.

After placing, and winning a bet on Jordan Spied at 33:1 odds, Graham, our rider from the UK is treating us all to Margaritas. The 100 pound bet earned him about $6000.
